Storms

Good morning!

Today’s Scripture is:

“God made rules for the rain.
And He set a path for a thunderstorm to follow.”

Job 28:26 (ICB)

Let’s talk about the science behind storms! There are lots of different kinds of storms, depending on where you live.

In Alaska, you might see snow or rainstorms.

In Texas, there are thunderstorms, hailstorms, windstorms, and even dust storms!

Some of them can be pretty scary, can’t they?

But did you notice what our verse said? God made rules for the rain. He tells every storm exactly where to go! That means God is in control—even when things seem wild and loud.

Do you remember the story where Jesus walked on the water during a storm?

Or the time He was asleep in a boat with His disciples, and a big storm came up? The disciples were scared, but Jesus woke up and said, “Quiet! Be still!”—and right away, the storm stopped!

That shows us something amazing: Jesus has power over every storm. Sometimes storms are made of thunder and lightning, but sometimes they’re different—like when people argue, when you feel sad or scared, or when something hard happens in your family or school. Those are storms too.

No matter what kind of storm you face, Jesus is ready to walk with you through it. He’ll be there from the first dark cloud until the sunshine comes back again.

Let’s Pray Together

Dear Lord,

When storms come—in the sky, in our homes, or in our hearts—help us remember that You are right there with us. Thank You for being bigger and stronger than any storm we face.

We love You! Amen.

Today’s Question:

What kind of storm have you seen or been in before?
How can you remember that Jesus is with you
during that kind of storm?
