Contentment

Good morning!

Today’s Scripture is:

“Be content with what you have, because God has said,
‘I will never leave you or forsake you.’”

Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

Today we’re going to learn more about how God created amazing designs in nature—and we’ll look at one of His favorite creations: cats!

There are big cats like lions, tigers, leopards, and jaguars. And there are small cats like the ones that live in our homes. God made them with many of the same traits, but one big difference is in the sounds they make.

House cats purr when they’re happy and content. A mother cat even purrs to help her babies find her when their eyes are still closed. The kittens follow the sound of her purr to find warmth and food.

But big cats don’t purr—they roar! God made their voices strong and loud for the rolethey play in nature. Remember the lion’s roar in The Lion King? That roar sends a message to everyone around!

God designed small cats with soft, flexible bones in their throats so they can purr. Big cats have thicker, harder bones that let them roar instead. Each design fits perfectly with what God planned for them.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:12–13 that Paul learned to be content no matter what was happening—even on bad days! And in Hebrews 13:5, God promises that He will never leave us or forsake us.

That means we can always be at peace and content, just like a cat purring safely in its mother’s care, because God is always watching over us.

Let’s Pray Together

Dear Father, Thank You for Your wonderful promises in the Bible. Help us to be content today,

remembering that You love us and will always take care of us. We love You. Amen.

Today’s Question:

What makes you feel peaceful and content,
knowing that God is always with you?
