Meet lolli & Pop
A 45-Year Partnership in Faith, Service, and Creativity
Meet Sandra and James Dean—
or as their five grandchildren
(including a set of twins!) call them,
'Lolli & Pop.' When they come to visit,
the event is often affectionately known as “Camp LolliPop.”
For 45 years, they have built a life
centered on intentional connection.
Their ministry, rooted in a deep and
active faith, extends from their
family dinner table to the
far corners of the globe.
A Foundation of Faith
Their partnership is grounded in a shared commitment to follow Jesus. While James made the decision to follow Him as a young boy, Sandra’s perspective shifted in her mid-twenties when her faith moved from an intellectual idea to a personal reality. Since then, their life together has been defined by putting their faith into practice.
Over more than 35 years of service in their local church, Sandra and James held various leadership roles, including guiding home Bible studies, mentoring married couples, and leading the church-wide small groups ministry. Now, their focus is primarily on their home, where they lead a weekly House of Prayer. Their newest ministry, LolliPop Devotions, grew out of their desire to intentionally share their faith and build a lasting legacy with their grandchildren.
From Global Missions to Local Service
Sandra and James's passion for sharing their faith extends far beyond their community. As a traveling evangelist on Stonecroft Ministries’ circuit, Sandra reached audiences across several states. Together, they have conducted ten dental mission trips, personally training ministry teams and speaking in churches in Cuba, Guatemala, and Romania.
This same spirit of service is a cornerstone of their life at home. James, a retired engineer, is affectionately known as "The Mayor" for his commitment to serving his neighbors, whether at home or at the boat dock.
The Heart of Hospitality & Creativity
Sandra and James believe that the most significant impact is made in the intentional moments. Their gift for hospitality is well known, as they host frequent dinner parties for fellowship and missions fundraising.
This gift of creative planning is a hallmark of their family life. Their grandchildren's favorite tradition is playing "Restaurant," where menus are designed, costumes are donned, and their grandson acts as the Maître D’. At the same time, the girls switch between being waitresses and lounge singers. It's a beautiful picture of their legacy, as the love for hosting and serving others is clearly being passed down to the next generation.
A Partnership of Diverse Gifts
Sandra and James bring a diverse and accomplished skill set to everything they do:
Sandra is a Certified Toastmaster, a Master Gardener, a graduate of Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Services (CLASS) from Florence Litteaur, and a retired Dental Hygienist. Her dedication to community service includes past leadership roles on multiple community boards, such as the Children's Advocacy Center, and MasterKey.
James is a retired defense industry engineer who pours his creative energy into many passions. He designs prophetic art on his iPad, builds custom miniature train sets, and is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting and fishing with his "grands." He is also an excellent chef who loves using his cooking talents for church and non-profit fundraisers.
Together, Sandra and James are a true partnership in faith, family, and fun, proving that a life of intentional service can create an extraordinary legacy.
