Good morning, grandchildren!
I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!
Today’s Scripture is:
“The child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.”
Luke 1:35
Has anyone ever said to you, “You look like your dad,” or “You look like your mom”? Children often look like their parents, and sometimes they act like them too.
When Jesus was here on earth, He showed the world what God the Father is like. No one has ever seen God, but Jesus came so we could understand Him better. By watching what Jesus said and did—how He loved people, helped the hurting, forgave others, and obeyed God—we learn what God is like.
That’s one important reason Jesus is called the Son of God. Jesus didn’t just talk about God—He represented Him perfectly.
The Bible teaches us that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is a mystery, and it can be hard to understand, but we believe it because God tells us it is true. All three are God, and all three work together to love us and guide our lives.
When we follow Jesus, God helps us become more like Him—loving, kind, patient, and obedient.
Let’s Pray Together
Father God,
Thank You for sending Jesus to show us what You are like. Help us become more like Jesus in the way we think, speak, and act today.
We love You. Amen.
