Good morning, grandchildren!

I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!

Today’s Scripture is:

“God will give a son to us… His name will be Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6 (ICB)

Isaiah was a prophet in the Old Testament. A prophet is someone God speaks to and uses to share His message with others. God told Isaiah something amazing long before it ever happened.

Isaiah foretold that one day God would send His Son, Jesus, to the world. Foretold means to tell something before it happens.

Hundreds of years later, Isaiah’s words came true when Jesus was born. One of Jesus’ special names is the Prince of Peace.

Think about the story of Cinderella. She wasn’t truly happy until she met the Prince. When they fell in love and were married, her whole life changed.

When we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and lead our lives, our lives change too. Jesus becomes our Prince of Peace. He brings peace between us and God, and He brings peace into our hearts—even when life feels messy, loud, or confusing.

Because Jesus is our Prince of Peace, we don’t have to be afraid or worried. We can trust Him to rule our hearts with love, kindness, and calm.

Let’s Pray Together

Jesus,

Thank You for being our Prince of Peace. Thank You for forgiving us and bringing peace between us and God. Please fill our hearts with Your peace today.

We love You. Amen.

Today’s Question:

When you feel worried or upset, how can remembering Jesus as your Prince of Peace help you?
