Good morning, grandchildren!
I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!
Today’s Scripture is:
“Jesus went about …teaching, …preaching, …and healing every sickness…”
Matthew 9:35
There is a story in Luke 5 about a man who could not walk. His friends had heard that Jesus could heal people, so they brought their friend to Him.
But when they arrived, it was too crowded to get inside. Instead of giving up, they did something unusual—they let their friend down through the roof!
Jesus saw their faith and healed the man—not only his body so he could walk again, but also his soul, because Jesus forgave his sins.
Just like that man, we all make mistakes and wrong choices sometimes. Those wrong choices are called sin. But Jesus always forgives us when we are truly sorry and ask Him to help us. He heals our hearts as well as our bodies.
Jesus is called the Great Physician because He cares about our whole selves—our bodies, our hearts, and our souls. He wants to make us well and help us live the way God wants us to.
Let’s Pray Together
Dear Jesus,
Our Great Physician, thank You for healing our bodies and for making our hearts and souls well. Thank You for always forgiving our sins. Help us follow You and obey You today.
We love You! Amen.
