Biblical Wisdom

Adapted from the book
How Great is Our God
by Louie Giglio

Good morning!

Today’s Scripture is:

I am as happy over your promises
as if I had found a great treasure.

Psalm 199:162 ICB

Today’s science topic is all about cenotes! Cenotes are special kinds of sinkholes that fill up with underground water or rain. Many of them can be found in the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.

These amazing water sources have been important to the people of Mexico for hundreds of years. And today, lots of people love to swim or scuba dive in them! Over time, archaeologists have even explored the deep waters of cenotes to discover hidden treasures buried below.

That’s kind of like God’s Word! When you dive into the Bible, you’re sure to find treasures too.

It might be something new about God that you’ve never learned before…

Or maybe an answer to a hard problem you’re facing…

Or even a special promise that reminds you how much God loves you.

Unlike any other book, the words of the Bible are made alive by the power of the Holy Spirit. That means there’s always treasure waiting for you when you dive in!

Let’s Pray Together

Father God, Thank You for giving us Your Word, the Bible. Please help our hearts to want to dive into its treasures every day. We love You! Amen.

Today’s Question:

What would you put in a treasure chest for someone to find?
