Communication
Adapted from the book How Great is Our God by Louie Giglio
Good morning!
Joke of the Day:
How do bees get to school?
On the school buzz! 😄
Today’s Scripture is:
“Jesus said to his followers,
‘Go everywhere in the world.
Tell the Good News to everyone.’”
Gospel of Mark 16:15 (ICB)
Have you ever noticed how animals “talk” without using real words? Dogs bark. Cats meow. Birds chirp. But sometimes animals don’t make a sound at all—they use actions to send a message.
Bees perform a special wiggle dance to show other bees where to find sweet flowers. A white- tailed deer lifts its bright tail to warn the herd that something might be wrong. Elephants gently touch trunks to show friendship. Even gorillas use their faces and bodies to show how they feel.
God designed animals with ways to communicate—and He designed you that way too! But you have something even more special. You have words.
Jesus gave His followers an important job: tell everyone the Good News. That means sharing that God loves them and wants them to be with Him forever.
Sometimes we might feel nervous about speaking up. Moses felt that way when God asked him to talk to Pharaoh. But in the Book of Exodus 4, God promised to help Moses know what to say.
And God will help you too.
He gave you a voice to speak, a mind to think, and His Spirit to guide you. You never have to share His love alone.
Let’s Pray Together
Lord, thank You for giving us voices and words. Help us be brave and kind when we tell others about You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
