Today’s Scripture is:
“We will all be changed.
It will only take a second.
We will be changed as quickly as an eye blinks.”
1 Corinthians 15:51–52 (ICB)
Blink! You just did it—and you probably didn’t even notice. Most of us blink every few seconds.
Each blink is super quick, but it does something important.
Every time you blink, your eyelids sweep across your eyes like tiny cleaning brushes. They wipe away dust and spread tears across your eyes to keep them from getting dry. Even when you aren’t crying, your eyes are covered with a thin layer of tears that helps you see clearly.
Scientists have discovered something interesting, too. We often blink at natural pauses—like at the end of a sentence when we read, when a movie scene changes, or when someone stops to take a breath while talking. It’s almost like God designed blinking to give our brains a teeny-tiny break.
People sometimes say, “That happened in the blink of an eye!” That means it happened
incredibly fast.
The Bible tells us that one day, Jesus will return, and everything will change that quickly—faster than a blink. In one instant, we will be made new. No more sickness. No more sadness. No more pain. We will have brand-new bodies and perfect joy. And best of all, we will live with God forever.
It will happen so fast—but the happiness will last forever.

Father, thank You for promising that one day You will make everything new. Thank You for loving us and preparing a forever home for us. Help us trust You while we wait. We love You. Amen.
