Mirror
Adapted from the book How Great is Our God by Louie Giglio
Good morning!
Joke of the Day:
Why did the mirror go to school?
Because it wanted to reflect and learn!😄
Today’s Scripture is:
“Those who hear the teachings of God and obey them—
they are the ones who are truly blessed.”
Luke 11:28 (ICB)
People often joke about talking to mirrors, but there is a place in South America where the ground itself becomes a mirror. It’s called the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat on Earth.
Instead of dirt or sand, this huge desert is covered in salt—so much salt that it can be seen from outer space!
When rain falls on the salt flat, a thin layer of water spreads across the surface. Suddenly, the land turns shiny and smooth like glass. The sky reflects perfectly on the ground, making it hard to tell where the earth stops and the sky begins. It looks like the world has been flipped upside down.
God created that salt flat to reflect the sky—but He created you to reflect Jesus. Your words, actions, and choices can show others what Jesus is like. When you are kind, forgiving, patient, and loving, people catch a glimpse of Him through you.
Some people may never open a Bible or go to church, but they might see Jesus by watching how you live. To reflect Him well, you need to know Him. Spend time reading God’s Word, learning how Jesus lived, and obeying what He taught. The more you follow Him, the more clearly His love will shine through you.
Let’s Pray Together
Dear God, help us live in a way that reflects Your love and truth. Let others see Jesus in the way we act and speak. We love You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
