Glue

Adapted from the book How Great is Our God by Louie Giglio

Good morning!

Joke of the Day: What did one piece of glue say to the other?
“Let’s stick together!” 😄

Today’s Scripture is:

“All of you should live together in peace.
Try to understand each other.
Love each other as brothers.
Be kind and humble.”

1 Peter 3:8 (ICB)

When you see coral in the ocean, you might think it’s a rock or maybe even a plant. But coral is actually made up of tiny animals called polyps. One piece of coral can contain hundreds or even thousands of these little creatures living very close together.

Each polyp is soft, but it pulls minerals from the seawater to build a hard shell around itself. When many polyps connect, their shells join together and form the coral reefs we see.

Coral reefs are very important to the ocean. They give fish places to hide, find food, and lay eggs. Many baby fish even grow up there, safe and protected, until they are ready to swim on their own. Coral stays strong because all the tiny polyps stay connected and work together.

God calls His people to live the same way. The Bible calls this unity. Unity doesn’t mean everyone is exactly the same. It means we care about each other, try to understand how others feel, and treat people with kindness and humility. It also means choosing love, even when things are hard or when we don’t agree.

When God’s children stick together in love, we can do wonderful things for Him.

Let’s Pray Together

Jesus, help us to live in peace with others. Teach us to be kind, humble, and loving. Show us how to work together so more people can learn about You. We love You. Amen.

Question for the day:

How can you “stick together” with others by showing kindness or understanding today?
