Dew
Adapted from the book
How Great is Our God
by Louie Giglio
Good morning!
Today’s Scripture is:
“I am about to do something new.
Look, I have already begun!
Do you not see it?
I will create a pathway through the wilderness
and make rivers in the dry desert.”
Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)
Dew
Today, let’s explore something wonderful that God made for our world: dew.
Have you ever noticed tiny droplets of water on the grass, leaves, or spider webs in the morning?
They shimmer in the sunlight. It wasn’t rain, so what’s the source? That’s dew.
Dew forms when the night air cools, causing water vapor to condense into tiny droplets on surfaces. If it’s cold enough, these droplets become ice crystals, known as frost.
But dew is more than just beautiful—it’s vital. In areas with little rainfall, plants, animals, and people can rely on dew for moisture. It’s one of the many ways God ensures His creation thrives.
The Bible also shares a remarkable story involving dew. When the Israelites wandered in the desert after escaping Egypt, they had no food and prayed to God. Each morning, as the dew disappeared, thin flakes of food appeared on the ground. This miraculous provision, called manna, sustained them daily and showed God’s care.
Just as God cared for the Israelites, He cares for us. Whenever God leads us into new paths, we can trust He will provide what we need.
Let’s Pray Together
Dear God, thank You for the incredible design of our world. We’re grateful for the amazing ways You care for all of creation and for us. We trust You and love You. Amen.
