Joke of the Day:
Why did Noah have to punish the chickens on the ark?
Because they were using fowl language!
Today’s Scripture is:
“But Noah found favor with the Lord.”
— Genesis 6:8
When God created the world, He said it was very good. It was good—but it wasn’t perfect anymore after sin entered the world.
We saw this when Adam and Eve ate the fruit.
We saw it when Adam hid from God.
We saw it when Cain killed Abel.
And as more and more people were born, sin kept spreading. It damaged the good world God made—and the people in it.
By the time we get to Genesis 6, things had become very bad. People were following their own selfish ways instead of God’s ways. This made God very sad. So, God made a plan.
He decided to send a great flood to wash away the evil that had taken over the earth.
But there was one man who stood out—Noah.
Noah lived the way God wanted him to live, and because of that, he found favor with God.
God told Noah to build a big ark to keep his family and the animals safe during the flood. And Noah obeyed—even though it probably seemed strange! Then the rains came.
This reminds us that God is sovereign—that means He has power over everything. He created the rain, and He decides when it starts and stops.
Even when the world feels messy or confusing, God still has a plan. Nothing—not even evil—can stop His plan. And here’s the good news: God is always working to fix what’s been broken—even our relationship with Him.
So we can have joy, even when we don’t understand everything, because we know God is in control. He is where the joy is!

Father God, thank You for always having a plan and for taking such good care of us. Help us to hear Your still, small voice today and to obey You. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
