Nosey

Adapted from the book
How Great is Our God
by Louie Giglio

Good morning!

Joke of the Day:

What did one nose say to the other nose?
“Let’s stick together!”

Today’s Scripture is:

“Do not let selfishness or pride be your guide.
Be humble and give more honor to others than yourselves.”

Philippians 2:3 (ICB)

Nosey

Have you ever noticed how many different kinds of noses there are? Some are big, some are small, some are round, and some are pointy. Animals have all kinds of noses too!

Did you know a mole uses its nose in a really special way? Moles can’t see very well, but their noses have tiny, sensitive parts that help them “feel” their way around underground. Their noses even help them dig tunnels by loosening the dirt in front of them. That’s a pretty amazing nose!

Now, your nose doesn’t help you dig tunnels—but it does help you smell delicious food, breathe fresh air, and even hold up your sunglasses. That’s pretty useful!

But there’s one thing we should never use our noses for—and that’s looking down on others.

The Bible tells us in Romans 12:16 not to be proud or think we’re better than everyone else. Instead, we should be kind, humble, and treat others with respect.

That’s exactly what Jesus did. Even though He is God’s Son, He didn’t act like He was better than others. He showed love to everyone—He helped the sick, talked to people others ignored, and even washed His disciples’ feet. Jesus chose humility.

So today, let’s follow His example. Let’s use our lives to lift others up—not look down on them.

Let’s Pray Together

Father God, thank You for giving us life. Help us to live in a way that honors You by being kind, humble, and loving to everyone around us. Amen.

Question of the Day:

What is one way you can show kindness
and honor to someone today?
