The Way
Good morning, grandchildren!
Today’s Scripture is:
John 14:6
“Jesus answered,
‘I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
Good morning!
Let’s continue talking about how God fixed the sin problem Adam and Eve created. Today, let’s call Him this special name: The God Who Makes a Way.
God makes a way to fix a problem… even when it seems like there’s no way at all!
Let’s imagine God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit looking down from heaven. They could see that sin had entered the beautiful garden God made for Adam and Eve. I wonder if they were talking about the problem when Jesus said something like, “I will go down to earth. I will teach people how to live, and I will fix the sin problem.”
Perhaps they all agreed on the plan.
That’s why Jesus came to earth (Christmas). When Jesus was about 30, He was baptized, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove. Soon after, He began teaching people how God wants us to live.
Then Jesus did the greatest thing He could do—He took the punishment people deserved when He died on the cross (Good Friday).
But the amazing, powerful, ingenious part of God’s plan was this: Jesus didn’t stay dead. He rose again! (Easter)
And because He came back to life, Jesus made a way for us to have a relationship with God again. We don’t have to be separated from God because of our sin anymore.
He truly is the God who makes a way!
Application:
Whenever you face something that feels impossible—like a problem at school, a hard decision, or a worry you can’t fix—remember this: Jesus is the Way. You can ask Him to guide you, help you, and show you what to do next.
Let’s Pray Together
Dear God, thank You for making a way for us through Jesus.
Help us remember that You can fix any problem, no matter how big it seems.
We love You. Amen.
