Guidance

Adapted from the book
How Great is Our God
by Louie Giglio

Good morning!

Today’s Scripture is:

“If you go the wrong way to the right or to the left,
you will hear a voice behind you saying,
‘This is the right way.
You should go this way.’”

Isaiah 30:21 (ICB)

Guidance

Do you know what it means to be right-handed or left-handed?

It simply means that you naturally use one hand more than the other—like when you write your name or throw a ball.

Scientists say most people are right-handed, and about 10% of people are left-handed. They’re still learning why this happens, but it may have something to do with our DNA or how our brains grow and develop.

Most people rely on one hand for things like writing or eating, but about 1% of people are ambidextrous. That means they can use both hands equally well—how cool is that?

Choosing which hand to use usually feels natural and easy.

But life has many choices that aren’t so easy.

When we face hard decisions or problems, that’s the perfect time to talk to God. He already knows what we’re going through, and when we share our worries with Him, He helps us see more clearly.

God promises to guide us—sometimes through the Bible, sometimes through other people, and sometimes through a gentle, quiet voice inside us that helps us know what is right. That voice is called the Holy Spirit.

God doesn’t leave us to figure life out alone. He walks with us and shows us the way to go.

Let’s Pray Together

Father God, thank You for always being willing to lead us and show us the right path. You are our guide for life. We love You. Amen.

Today’s Question:

Imagine using your opposite hand all day—like writing or cutting with scissors. How might that help you understand and show kindness to someone who is different from you?
