How Great is Our God

Good morning!

Today’s Scripture is:

“No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket.
Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand where it gives light to everyone in the house.”

Matthew 5:15 (NLT)

Today we’re going to talk about one of the most beautiful and amazing creatures God created: the butterfly! Here are a few cool facts:

Butterflies look dainty and delicate, but they’re really tough travelers. The painted lady butterfly can fly up to 4,000 miles from North Africa all the way to Iceland—while flapping her wings about 20 times every second!

Wow!

You might have noticed that if you gently touch a butterfly, you get a little “dust” on your fingers. That “dust” is actually tiny scales from their wings. God designed butterflies with bright colors to advertise something important to predators. Their colorful patterns say, “Don’t eat me!

I taste terrible!” So, butterflies use their colors to show who they are.

And God created you to do something kind of like that too.

You were created to advertise that you are a follower of Jesus.

So… do you?

Do your friends and neighbors know you love Jesus?

Can your family see that you’re growing to be more like Him?

Don’t hide your love for God under a basket. Let it shine! Let the whole world see what you think about Jesus by the way you live.

Let’s Pray Together

Father God, Thank You for loving us and creating us with a purpose. Help us live in a way that shows others who You are. Make our lives shine so people are drawn closer to You. We love You. Amen.

Today’s Question:

If someone watched me today,
would they be able to tell that I love Jesus? How?
