The Fruit that Grows in Your Heart
Good morning, grandchildren!
I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!
“Live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way:
bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
— Colossians 1:10 (NIV)
Today, let’s talk about the fruit that God designed and created.
When we think of fruit, we imagine something beautiful, colorful, and tasty. But did you know that fruit begins as a flower? Inside that flower are the seeds that can grow into a whole new plant!
Fruit can grow in many different places:
Trees (like oranges)
Bushes (like blueberries)
Vines (like watermelon)
Small plants (like strawberries)
But spiritual fruit grows in a very special place—it grows in our hearts.
When our hearts are full of Jesus’ love, we produce good things like kindness, patience, and goodness. These are the sweet “fruits” others can see in the way we live.
Each day we can pray and ask Jesus to fill us up so His love overflows to everyone we meet.
Let’s Pray Together
Jesus,
Thank You for loving us and filling our hearts to overflowing. Help Your love to spill out of us in kind and loving actions toward everyone we meet.
Amen.
