Faithfulness

Good morning, grandchildren!

I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!

Our scripture today is

“But the Spirit gives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

— Galatians 5:22–23a (ICB)

FAITHFULNESS

Faithfulness is being

  • loyal

  • steadfast

  • reliable

  • willing to keep a promise you made

God wants us to be faithful especially in our relationship with Him.

When we have a relationship with a friend, we choose to spend time with them on purpose because we really enjoy their company.

When we pray (which means talking to Jesus), we’re hanging out with Him.

Even though we can’t see Jesus with our eyes, we know He’s real and always right here with us.

God is faithful to us! The Bible tells us that He will never leave us or forsake us. That means He always keeps His promises and is always by our side.

When we pray, we can ask God to help us be faithful — just like He is!

Let’s Pray Together

Father God,

Thank You for always being faithful to us. Help us to be faithful, too — to do what we say we’ll do and to stay close to You. We love You!

Amen.

Today’s Question:

What is one way you can show faithfulness to God or a friend today?
