Habits

Good morning!
Joke of the Day:
Today’s Scripture is:
Everyone is tempted sometimes. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can handle. When temptation comes, God will always make a way to escape so you can stand strong. —1 Corinthians 10:13 (ICB)
Habits
Today we’re going to talk about habits.
A habit is something you do over and over again—so much that it can be hard to stop. Some habits are good, and some habits are not so good.
Good habits might be:
Being kind
Telling the truth
Praying
Cleaning up after yourself
Not-so-good habits might be:
Getting angry too fast
Saying unkind words
Complaining
Not listening when you should
I can think of some habits I have—some good and some I’m still working on. How about you?
What Does God Say About Our Habits?
Our scripture today reminds us that when we are tempted to keep doing a bad habit, God doesn’t leave us alone. He promises to help us.
God gives us:
Strength when things feel hard
Help when we ask
A way out when we’re tempted
When we choose better habits with God’s help, we become happier people—and we show God’s love to everyone we meet.
Let’s Pray Together
Dear Father God,
Thank You for loving us so much. Thank You that You help us when we struggle with bad habits. Holy Spirit, please help us slow down when we feel upset and help us trust You with our emotions and our choices. We love You and thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
