Good morning!
Today’s Scripture is:
“I have called you by name, and you are mine.”

Power
Today’s science lesson is about powerful storms called tropical cyclones.
These storms have different names depending on where they form:
They are called hurricanes when they form in the Atlantic Ocean.
They are called cyclones in parts of the Indian and South Pacific Oceans.
They are called typhoons in the western Pacific Ocean.
No matter what they’re called, these storms are incredibly powerful!
Their winds can reach 150 miles per hour, strong enough to pull trees out of the ground and flatten buildings. Some of these storms can be as small as 60 miles across, while others can grow to be over 1,000 miles wide.
That’s hard to imagine!
But do you know what is even more powerful than the biggest storm on Earth?
Our God.
God spoke the universe into existence.
He told the oceans where to stop and the mountains where to stand.
And when Jesus died on the cross, He said, “It is finished.”
Sin was forgiven, death was defeated, and Satan lost forever.
That is the power of the God who loves you and calls you by name.

Jesus, You are so powerful that You can do absolutely anything. And yet You still know my name and love me. Thank You for calling me Yours. We love You. Amen.
