Little Things

Good morning, grandchildren!

I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!

“Suppose a woman has ten silver coins, but she loses one of them.
She will light a lamp and clean the house.
She will look carefully for the coin until she finds it.”

— Luke 15:8
International Children’s Bible (ICB)

Today’s scripture is from Luke 15:8 and is a story about a woman who loses a coin but later finds it.

Let me tell you something funny about what’s happening at our house! You know that robot vacuum of yours named CRUMBS? Well, Pop and I have one too.

But guess what? It’s missing!

Last week, we turned it on and then—poof—it disappeared. It won’t answer when I call it on my phone, and we’ve looked everywhere.

Kinda funny, huh?

When was the last time you lost something?

How did you find it?

Do you think Jesus knows where it is?

Maybe I just need to ask for His help to find our little runaway vacuum.

Jesus knows everything and He loves to help His children whenever they need it.

Sometimes we forget to ask Him for help because we think our problem is too small. But Jesus cares about all the details of our lives—big or small!

I think He even uses these little moments to remind us that He’s always there, waiting for us to talk to Him.

So today, Pop and I are going to pray and ask for His help finding our missing vacuum.

Let’s Pray Together

Dear Jesus,

We need You in the big things and in the small things.
Help us to see that You’re always with us and that You love to talk with us.
We love You and will be looking for Your presence as we go through this day.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today’s Question:

What do you need to ask Jesus
to help you with today?
