Love
Good morning, grandchildren!
I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!
“But the Spirit gives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
— Galatians 5:22-23a
International Children’s Bible (ICB)
We’ve talked before about love — and how Jesus wants us to love what He and His Father love. The Bible tells us God loves:
A humble heart — not prideful or bragging
Honesty — telling the truth
Helping others — like sharing what we have
Doing good things to bless others
Speaking kindly to others
Obeying our parents
Not arguing
Loving other people
Giving to others
Love means showing care and kindness to others, the way Jesus does for us. Sometimes it’s easy to love our friends, but harder to love people who are mean or unkind.
But Jesus loves everyone — no matter what! And He wants us to do the same.
When we pray, we can ask God to help us love the people around us today.
Let’s Pray Together
Father God,
Thank You for loving us. Teach us to love others with Your love. Fill our hearts with Your love.
We love You. Amen.
