Good Choices

Good morning, grandchildren!

I wish I were with you right now so I could give you a
great big hug and tell you how much I love you!

“Do for other people what you want them to do for you.”
Luke 6:31 (International Children’s Bible)

I have a question for you today:

How do other people see Jesus living in us?

I believe one big way people see Jesus in us is by how we treat others.

Do we love and accept people like Jesus does?

Are we kind and respectful with our words and actions?

Do we share willingly?

We all have a choice every day. We can choose to follow Jesus’ example.

God made each of us with something special inside called a conscience.

That’s like an inner voice or feeling that helps us know what is right and what is wrong.

Have you ever made a bad choice… and later felt bad about it? I have too.

That “bad feeling” is your conscience reminding you to choose what’s right.

God put that inner voice inside you to guide your thoughts and actions—so you can be more like Him.

And you’re learning this already, because your mom and dad teach you to make good choices.

So today, let’s ask God to help us make choices that show others Jesus is living in us.

Let’s pray together:

Father, thank You for the lives You have given us.
Thank You that Your Spirit lives inside us because we have trusted You as our Savior and Leader.
Help us hear Your voice in our minds today and make good choices that follow You.
We want others to see Jesus in us.
We love You. Amen.

Our question today is:

What is one kind thing
you can do today to help
someone else see Jesus living in you?
